The Story :

The story of the band begins from year 2005, when Jarno decided to to put up a new music project. He took a name, Shades of Nowhere, which actually means nothing. On the autumn 2006 Jarno found a drummer (Juha) to his band.

At the same time Jarno began to record some new stuff at his own crappy home studio. After several member changes, they foun a bassist (Mirka) and a keyboardist (Tuomo) to the band on the spring 2007. Finally they found a guitarist too, when Antti joined the group at the end of the summer 2007.

The rest of the year passed by fast and Jarno recorded the last songs to the album. Antti recorded new guitar solos to all songs. The album was planned to be released by Rock-Rooster records, but after 4 months of waiting they said that they had to quit the whole company. That was just our great luck...

After that we had some good news too, when Antti told that Ahti Kortelainen from Tico Tico Studio could mix and master the album. Once again months went by but nothing happened. The fans were asking "When the album comes out?" and we were quite bored to the situation, too. So we decided to mix and master the album by ourselves and release it as soon as possible.

On the summer 2008 we found a new bassist (Jami), guitarist (Mikko) and drummer (Arska). The band started practising hard and finally was getting ready to play some gigs. Now the album is ready to be released! The first official gig is at Köyrirock (Loimaa) on 6th September.

Our music is melancholic, catchy, organ-driven rock-metal, but you can also hear lot of influences on punk rock and maybe some pop stuff too. Lyrics tell stories about life & death.
